Music at Brotherhood
Music is the beating heart of every spiritual community and nowhere is that truer than at Brotherhood.
Led by our cantor, Isaac Yager, our services offer a mixture of melodies old and new presented in an inviting, participatory style. Throughout the year, we present world-class concerts, both indoor and out, in casual cabaret settings, in our peaceful courtyard or in our stately sanctuary. Music also infuses the life of all of our school and family programs.
Harmoni - AH!
Our philosophy calls upon and gently encourages every member of the kahal to discover and lend his/her unique voice to our worship, whether you know the words or not. In that vein, our Harmoni - AH! community choir is open to all regardless of musical or Hebrew background. Unlike traditional synagogue choirs that stand in the front and "perform," a style that has long since lost its appeal for most modern Jews, Harmoni - AH! "blends into the pews." Members of the choir sit among their fellow worshippers and support the learning of new tunes to encourage greater congregational participation.
Concert Series
Our concert series offers our community the ability to experience both contemporary and classical forms of sacred music. These concerts take place throughout the year.
Music flows throughout our programs and our building.
Here are a few songs sung by our Cantor with our Nursery School children every Friday in Sanctuary Time.
For prayers and songs sung by our students in Hebrew School, go to to our Hebrew School Prayers and Music page.
