Adult | Hebrew School | Nursery School | Early Childhood Programs | Tikvah (Special Needs) Program | Youth Prayer Services Shabbat Services for Our Young Congregants Shabbat Corner A Shabbat experience for children ages 3-5 and their parents! Brotherhood Synagogue’s popular Shabbat Corner program meets on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am in the “Yellow Room” on our lower level. Shabbat Corner is led by the beloved Basya Schecter – a talented, energetic, and innovative performer who has led the group at Brotherhood for many years. Through song, dance, storytelling and other projects, children are introduced to Jewish life and Shabbat. The experience is both fun and educational and each week concludes with a Kiddush snack. Shabbat Corner will begin on October 3 and continues through the first week of June 2010. The group will not meet on the following dates: November 28, December 26, January 2, and February 13. Alef-Bet Club Alef-Bet Club is our Shabbat service for Kindergarteners, 1st, and 2nd graders, and their parents. The service takes place on Saturday mornings from 10:45 - 11:30 AM and is also led by Basya Schechter. The basic prayers, Torah stories, and beliefs are conveyed and there is active student participation. Hebrew School students must attend at least seven times during the school year. All are welcome to drop in. Junior Congregation Junior Congregation is a Shabbat morning service for 3rd-7th graders and their parents. Phillip Rothman, Educational Director, leads this fun and participatory service on Saturdays from 10:30 - 11:45 AM. This wonderful educational and spiritual experience allows children to further develop their Hebrew and prayer skills. Hebrew School students must attend at least seven times during the school year. All are welcome to drop in. Family Services Family Services occur once a month to welcome the Sabbath with stories and song. For families with children ages 3-6, services are held from 5:30 – 6:15 PM, and from 6:30 – 7:30 PM for children ages 7-13.
