  • Baby Program: for Children 3-12 Months

    Details: Set in a quiet, carpeted, sunny space on the 4th floor of the synagogue, our baby class is held in a relaxed atmosphere.  Activities include music (Hebrew & universal favorite songs) and movement, as well as stimulating activities which make use of fun props. All babies must be attended by either a parent or caregiver.

     

    Session 1: Mondays 11:30-12:15 am

    Session 2: Wednesdays 11:00-11:45 am

    Cost:

    Session 1: (15-week session) is $525 for members, $600 for non-members.

    Session 2: (16-week session) is $560 for members, $640 for non-members.

    Saskia Lane and Daphna Mor will lead our Toddler classes on Tuesdays and Saskia Lane will lead our Toddler Class on Thursdays.

    Details: Toddler Program activities will include free play, music for kids and songs (Hebrew and English) about Jewish life, movement, art projects, and a small snack. There will also be focus on Jewish holidays, some Hebrew words, and an emphasis on Jewish family values so we encourage parents, whenever possible, to participate in the program along with their child. All children must be attended by either a parent or caregiver.

  • Thursday Corner: Jewish Life, Culture, & Traditions Hour for 3-5 Year Olds

    Details: Thursday Corner is our fun class for 3-5 year olds which focuses on Jewish & Israeli traditions and culture.  Holidays and their related songs and traditions will be highlighted along with Shabbat observances, customs, and songs. This class is taught in English but Hebrew songs & letters will be a strong component along with storytelling, movement, dancing, cooking, and arts & crafts.

     

    Thursday Corner is a drop-off program!

     

    Session 1: Thursdays 3:00-4:00 pm

    Session 2: Thursdays 4:15-5:15 pm

  • Shabbat Corner: A Shabbat experience for children ages 3-5 and their parents!

    Shabbat Corner is led by Mira Shaar, beloved Brotherhood Blue Room Nursery School teacher.

    Details: Through song, dance, storytelling and arts & crafts projects, children are introduced to Jewish life and Shabbat at Brotherhood's Shabbat Corner class on Saturday mornings. The experience is both fun and educational and each week concludes with a Kiddush snack.

     

    Cost: The Winter/Spring semester is $400 for members and $480 for non-members.

Winter-Spring 2018

Early Childhood Programs at Brotherhood Synagogue help our community’s youngest children grow and flourish in an atmosphere where Jewish values and traditions are integrated into all of our programs. Cognitive skills and social, emotional, and physical development are encouraged through music, movement, theater arts, storytelling, learning activities, play, and arts & crafts with a special focus on Shabbat, Israel, and Jewish holidays. Please note: Class size is limited and applicants are enrolled on a first come, first served basis. Should a class be marked as filled and you wish to be on a waitlist, please contact us right away. Please also note: There are no makeups or refunds for missed Early Childhood classes.
